UBC VSE – Building a Financial Model (of a Company)

Description

This hands-on course focuses on the skills required to design and create an interactive financial model of a company that adheres to the highest industry standards. The course material includes model design, logic, construction, financial concepts and accounting treatment. During the seminar, participants will build a model that includes a forecast of a company’s income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet.

This course is one of two sessions offered by UBC VSE. There is a Valuation 1: DCF session being offered to students as this course is a natural follow-on to the Building a Financial Model (of a Company) course. PLEASE NOTE that this session will be offered as a webinar and all course times are in PST.

Who Will Benefit

This seminar is designed for anyone who wish to improve their financial modelling skills and those involved in preparing financial budgets, forecasts and business valuation.

Special Instructions

• Participants will be sent a link in advance of the course and must use their computer to participate.
• Participants will require a computer with any version of Microsoft Excel.
• Participants should have experience using Excel prior to attending.
• Please make sure you have access to a stable internet connection during the session
